last few months have been stressful for Twitter in India given the way things have panned out between the microblogging platform and the Indian government. On the business frontthough,the controversyhasprobably helped Twitter more than harming it, at least if one looks at the numbers. According todata intelligenceplatform Similarweb,the

Twitter app's daily active users on Android increased to 10.03 million in May from 7.85 million in January 2021, a 27 per cent rise. Similarweb data shows thatTwitterdownloads onAndroid saw a dip to 3.4 million in February, but have been on the rise ever since. This trendpartlytraces thetrajectoryof thecontroversies.Thefirstface-offbetween

theIndiangovernmentandTwitter,whichhas beeninIndia since 2013,took place in late January/early February, when it was asked to take down several tweets related to the farmers' agitation that was taking placeagainstcontroversialfarmlegislation.Twitter complied with some emergency orders, but it restored some content later. Things came to a head with the Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) serving a non-compliance notice to the platform. Justwhenthatcontroversywasbegin-

ningtoseeminglysubside,the ITministry introduced a new set of rules for social media intermediaries,including Google, FacebookandWhatsApp,whichplace several compliance requirements oncompanies thathavemore than50,00,000registered users. Essentially, under the new rules, the firm has to appoint a resident grievanceofficer, a complianceofficer and a nodal officer. SinceMay 25, when these rules came

into effect, MeitY has accused Twitter of being in non-compliance. It has also said this non-compliance means the microblogging service may have lost its "safe harbour" protection under intermediary law under the IT Act. Safe harbour refers to a legal provision to reduce or eliminate legalor regulatoryliabilityincertainsituations as long as certainconditions aremet. Sincethen, the microblogging site's

ಕಳೆದ 5 ವರ್ಷಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಸಿದ್ಧಗಂಗಾ ಶ್ರೀಗಳೂ 35 ಸಾವಿರ ಗಿಡಗಳನ್ನು ನೆಡುವ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಹಮ್ಮಿಕೊಂಡು ಸುಮಾರು 26 ಸಾವಿರ ಗಿಡಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾಕಿದ್ದು, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 18 ಸಾವಿರ ಹೊಂಗೆ ಗಿಡಗಳು ಸಮೃದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದಿವೆ.

ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು ವಿದ್ಯಾಭ್ಯಾಸ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಗಿಡಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀರುಣಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಪೋಷಣೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಕಾರ್ಯ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಸಲಹೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

2012ರಲ್ಲಿ ತಂದೆ–ತಾಯಿಯ ಹೆಸರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಲಾದ ಈ ಪ್ರತಿಷ್ಠಾನದಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿದ್ದಗಂಗಾ ಮಠ, ಸಿದ್ದರಬೆಟ್ಟ, ಬೆಳಗುಂಬ ಶಾಲೆ, ಸಿದ್ಧಗಂಗಾ ಅಂಧರ ಶಾಲೆ, ರೆಡಹಾ,ಸ್ ವಿಕಲಚೇತನರ ಶಾಲೆ, ಆರ್ಯನ್ ಹೈಸ್ತೂಲ್ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಇತರೆ ಶಾಲೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಓದುತಿರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾ ವಂತ ಬಡ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಪೋ,ತಾಹ ಧನ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದಿದ್ದು, ಬಡ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳು, ಅನಾಥ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಹಾಯ, ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ತಮ್ಮದೇ ಆದ ಅಳಿಲು ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ತುಮಕೂರು: ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಸಚಿವ ಸಂಪುಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಕರ್ನಾಟಕದಿಂದ ನಾಲ್ವರು ಸಚಿವರಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಮಾಣವಚನ ಸ್ತೀಕರಿಸಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ದಗಂಗಾ ಮಠಾಧ್ಯಕರಾದ ಶ್ರೀ ಸಿದಲಿಂಗ ಮಹಾಸಾಮಿಗಳು ಸಂತಸ ವ್ಯಕಪಡಿಸಿ, ನೂತನ ಸಚಿವರಿಗೆ ಶುಭ ಹಾರೈಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಸಿದ್ದಗಂಗಾ ಮಠದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಧ್ಯಮದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ನಾಲರು ನೂತನ ಸಚಿವರಲಿ ಯಾರಾದರೂ ಕ್ತಾಬಿನೆಟ್ ದರ್ಜೆಯ ಸಚಿವರಾಗಬೇಕಿತ್ತು. ಆದರೂ ರಾಜ್ಯ ಸಚಿವರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಷ್ಕಕ್ಕೆ ನಾವು ತೃಪ್ತಿಪಟ್ತುಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕೆನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ಲೋಕಸಭಾ ಸದಸ್ತರಾದ ಎ.ನಾರಾಯಣಸಾಮಿ, ಶೋಭಾ ್ಕರಂದ್ತಾಜೆ, ಭಗವಂತಪ ಖೂಬಾ, ರಾಜ್ಯಸಭಾ ಸದಸ್ಯರಾದ ರಾಜೀವ್ ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ್ ಅವರು ಪ್ರಮಾಣ ವಚನ ಸ್ತೀಕರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ ನಿಜವಾಗಲೂ ನಮಗಂತೂ ಅಭಿಮಾನ ಬಂದಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ನೂತನ ಸಚಿವರಾದ ಭಗವಂತಪ ಖುಬಾ ಅವರು ನಮ ಸಿದ್ಧಗಂಗಾ ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕ ಮಹಾವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದ ಹಳೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಪ್ರತಿವರ್ಷ ಅವರು ಹಳೆಯ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿಗಳ ಅನೇಕ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ ಕಾಲೇಜಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ಕೊಟ್ಟು ಹೋಗುವ ಸಹೃದಯವನ್ನು ಬೆಳೆಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಇಂದು ಕೇಂದ್ರ ಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಾಗಿರುವುದು ನಮ್ತೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಅಭಿಮಾನ, ಹೆಮ್ನೆ ತಂದಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ಅರಕಲಗೂಡು: ಕೊರೋನಾ ಸೋಂಕಿನಿಂದ ಸಮಾಜದ ಎಲ್ಲ ವರ್ಗಗಳ ಜನರಂತೆ ಅರ್ಚಕ ವರ್ಗದವರೂ ಸಂಕಷಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿದ್ದು ಇವರಿಗೆ ನೆರವಾಗುವ ಉದ್ದೇಶದಿಂದ ಸರ್ಕಾರ ದಿನಸಿ ಕಿಟ್ ಗಳನ್ನು ವಿತರಣೆ ಮಾಢುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಶಾಸಕ ಎ.ಟಿ.ರಾಮಸ್ತಾಮಿ ತಿಳಿಸಿದರು.

ಪಟ್ಟದ ತಾಲೂಕು ಕಚೇರಿ ಆವರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುರುವಾರ ಮುಜರಾಯಿ ದೇವಾಲಯಗಳ ಅರ್ಚಕರಿಗೆ ದಿನಸಿ ಕಿಟ್ ವಿತರಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಅವರು, ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಆದಾಯ ಇರುವ 5 ದೇವಾಲಯಗಳ ನಿಧಿಯಿಂದ ಸಿ ವರ್ಗದ ದೇವಾಲಯಗಳ ಅರ್ಚಕರಿಗೆ ದಿನಸಿ ಕಿಟ್ ವಿತರಿಸಲಾಗುತಿದೆ. ತಾಲೂಕಿನಲ್ಲಿ 348 ಜನ ಅರ್ಚಕರಿಗೆ ವಿತರಣೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ ಎಂದರು.

ಕೋವಿಡ್ ಸಾಂಕ್ರಾಮಿಕ ರೋಗವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಇದನ್ನು ತಡೆಗಟ್ಟಲು ಮುನ್ನೆಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ಕ,ಮಗಳ ಪಾಲನೆ ಬಹಳ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಎರಡು ಅಲೆಗಳು ಈ ಗಾಗಲೆ ಅಪಳಿಸಿದು ಇದರಿಂದ ಬಹಳಷ್ಟು ಜನರು ತೊಂದರೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಾಗಿದಾರೆ. ಸದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರನೆ ಅಲೆ ಬರಲಿದ್ದು ಇದು ಮಕ್ಕಳ ಆರೋಗ್ಯದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಬೀರಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಜ್ಞರು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವಾಗಿದೆ. ಜನರು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಎಚ್ಚರ ವಹಿಸುವುದು ಅಗತ್ತ ಎಂದರು. ಇದೇ ವೇಳೆ ಸಾಲ ಬಾಧೆಯಿಂದ ಆತ್ತಹತ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡ ಮೂರು ಜನ ರೈತರ ಕುಟುಂಬಕ್ಕೆ ಪರಿಹಾರಧನದ ಆದೇಶ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಶಾಸಕರು ವಿತರಿಸಿದರು.

ಕೊರೋನಾ ಎರಡನೇ ಅಲೆ ಸಾವಿರಾರು ಜನರನು ಬಲಿ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದು ಅದೆಷೋ ಮಂದಿ ಬಡ ಕೂಲಿ ಕಾರ್ಮಿ ಕರು ಕೆಲಸವಿಲ್ಲದೇ ದೈನಂದಿನ ಜೀವನವನ್ನು ನಿಭಾಯಿಸಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಿಲ್ಲದಂತಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಪಂಚಾಯಿತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರುವ ನರೇಗಾ

ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಯು ಇಂತಹವರ ಬದುಕಿಗೆ ಆಶಾ ಕಿರಣವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದರು. ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ವೇಣುಗೋಪಾಲ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ ದೇವಾಲಯದ ಕಲ್ತಾ ಣಿಯು ಸರಿಯಾದ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೇ ಪಾಳುಬಿದ್ದಿದ್ದು, ಜೀರ್ಣೋ ದ್ದಾರ ಮಾಡಿದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀರಿನ ಸೆಲೆಯ ಮರು ಪೂರಣ ವಾಗುವುದಲ್ಲದೇ ಕೂಲಿಯಿಲ್ಲದೇ ನಲುಗಿದ್ದ ಹಲ ವಾರು ಮಂದಿಗೆ ಕೂಲಿ ಸಿಗುವಂತಾಗಿದೆ, ಪ್ರಸ್ತುತ ಗಾ,ಪಂವತಿಯಿಂದನರೇಗಾಯೋಜನೆಯಡಿಯಲಿ ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿ ರುವ ಕಲ್ಯಾ ಣಿ ಸ್ವಚ್ಛತಾ ಕಾಮಗಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಸಾಮಾಜಿಕ ಅಂತರ ಕಾಯ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ಅಗತ್ಯ ಮುನ್ನೆಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ಕ್ರಮಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸ ಲಾಗುವುದು ಎಂದರು.
