OSAI PUBBLICA IL BILANCIO DI SOSTENIBILITÀ 2021

Il Gruppo, che nel 2022 celebra i 30 anni dalla sua fondazione, prosegue il proprio percorso verso nuovi obiettivi di crescita sostenibile.

Torino (TO), 31 maggio 2022 - OSAI (Ticker OSA), società attiva nella progettazione e produzione di macchine e linee complete per l'automazione e il testing su semiconduttori, comunica di aver approvato e pubblicato il Bilancio di Sostenibilità per l'anno 2021, redatto in conformità ai GRI Standards del Global Reporting Initiative e con riferimenti puntuali agli SDG's - i Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's) dell'ONU, per rendicontare come, attraverso la propria attività, l'azienda possa contribuire al raggiungimento degli Obiettivi dell'Agenda 2030 dell'ONU.

Il 20 maggio scorso Il Sole 24Ore in collaborazione con Statista, azienda leader delle ricerche di mercato e specializzata in ranking e analisi di dati aziendali, ha inserito Osai all'interno della classifica delle 200 aziende italiane che si sono distinte in tema di sostenibilità, conferendole il premio di Leader della Sostenibilità 2022.

Unica Società quotata su EGM (Euronext Growth Milan), appartenente al settore dell'automazione industriale ad essere stata premiata, Osai ha ottenuto inoltre il Rating ESG dalla Società indipendente ECOVADIS, una delle più importanti agenzie internazionali di valutazione della sostenibilità sociale ed ambientale, che le ha attribuito la "medaglia d'argento" posizionandola all'intero del 74-esimo percentile con punteggi maggiormente elevati nelle aree Ambiente e Lavoro - Diritti Umani.

Principali Risultati del Report di Sostenibilità Osai 2021

Il 2021 è stato un anno di importante consolidamento delle attività rivolte alla sostenibilità a seguito della ripresa della produttività aziendale, che nel 2020 aveva risentito pesantemente della Pandemia e che ha visto nel corso dello stesso anno la pubblicazione del primo report di Sostenibilità della Società.

Il Bilancio di Sostenibilità dell'esercizio 2021 ha messo in luce molti aspetti ambientali e di governance, ma soprattutto ha rendicontato l'impegno profuso sui temi rivolti al capitale umano e al Sociale, aspetti molto rilevanti per la Società.

Confermati, rispetto al 2020, gli obiettivi di sviluppo sostenibile dell'ONU identificati nella Matrice di Materialità di Osai, ovvero:

• Goal 4: Istruzione di qualità
• Goal 5: Parità di genere
• Goal 6: Acqua pulita e servizi igienico-sanitari
• Goal 7: Energia pulita e accessibile
• Goal 8: Lavoro dignitoso e crescita economica
• Goal 12: Consumo e produzione responsabili
• Goal 13: Lotta contro il cambiamento climatico
• Goal 16: Pace, giustizia e istituzioni solide

l'anno 2021 ha evidenziato importanti performance tra le quali:

• Il 100% dell'energia elettrica proveniente da fonti rinnovabili, con zero emissioni di CO2.
• Un livello di autoconsumo di poco inferiore al 50% dell'energia totale consumata grazie al parco fotovoltaico di Osai - pari a 263 kWp;
• Consumi idrici in riduzione nel triennio (-16,2% nel confronto 2021-2019) sempre più vicini all'obiettivo di 35 litri per giornata lavorativa/lavoratore;
• Il 96,3% del totale di rifiuti prodotti (27,1 tonnellate) avviati a riciclo;
• oltre il 12% del parco auto aziendale composto da vetture ibride/elettriche o plug-in;
• 40 tonnellate di CO2 equivalenti risparmiate grazie al oltre 8.000 giornate di smartworking effetuate dal personale OSAI nel 2021;
• 29,8 ore medie/annue di formazione per dipendente;
• Selezione dei fornitori basata su criteri sociali e ambientali oltrechè prestazionali per una valutazione rigorosa della Supply Chain secondo il Codice Etico OSAI e le Procedure ISO 9001:2015 e 14001:2015 in essere.
• Il 64% degli Obiettivi di sostenibilità triennali (2021-2023) raggiunti riguardanti:

emissioni di gas serra, tutela delle diversità e pari opportunità, anticorruzione, benessere dei dipendenti e R&D e innovazione.

In termini economici, Osai mostra una crescita media annua del +13,4% con ricavi pari a 38,8 milioni di euro, di cui il 7,8% (pari a 2,54 mln) sono stati investiti in Ricerca e Sviluppo, area rafforzata dall'attività del Comitato Innovazione & Sviluppo che promuove l'innovazione e la ricerca in azienda e supporta il Consiglio d'Amministrazione nelle decisioni strategiche. ll costante impegno nell'ambito dell'innovazione consente alla Società non solo di soddisfare con standard sempre più elevati le richieste e le esigenze dei clienti, ma anche di collaborare con realtà internazionali affermate grazie anche alla partecipazione a progetti Europei: gli investimenti nel 2021 hanno interessato 10 progetti con applicazioni in diverse aree di interesse strategico per la Società tra le quali l'e-mobility, la circular economy e il processo di addizione per il Silicon Carbide. Di particolare interesse nell'ambito della urban mining il progetto "Re4M", ideato per il riciclo efficiente dei rifiuti elettronici (RAEE) e per la trasformazione in nuova materia prima.

Nel 2021 il numero dei dipendenti è salito a 197 unità, +13,9% rispetto al 2019 con un età media complessiva dei dipendenti stabile intorno ai 42 anni.

L'attenzione al personale è uno dei punti di forza di Osai, molto attenta al work-life-balance, ottenuto tramite lo smartworking, la flessibilità dell'orario di lavoro, il piano di welfare aziendale integrato con assicurazioni sanitarie e previdenziali e finanziamenti agevolati.

Il Bilancio di Sostenibilità evidenzia il dato di zero malattie professionali ed un infortunio nel triennio rendicontato, non legato a criticità sui processi o nelle procedure per la salute e sicurezza dei lavoratori.

Da segnalare inoltre che nel 2021 è stata avviata in OSAI la nuova valutazione preliminare del Rischio Stress Lavoro Correlato; l'Azienda ha voluto cogliere questa attività come un'importante opportunità per poter meglio comprendere le aree a rischio e implementare piani di miglioramento dedicati per aumentare il benessere lavorativo.

Tra i progetti di sostenibilità sociale sul territorio: nel 2021 l'Azienda ha proseguito il proprio impegno supportando diverse iniziative sul territorio con finalità sociali a favore dello sviluppo socio-economico della comunità del Canavese in particolare quelle dedicate all'inclusione

sociale in azienda, collaborando con enti pubbli e privati con lo scopo di inserire nel mondo del lavoro soggetti con disabilità (Progetto Atlantide).

Nel corso del 2021, OSAI ha avuto l'onore di ricevere importanti riconoscimenti a livello nazionale, che racchiudono profondamente i valori che da sempre l'Azienda trasmette dentro e fuori i suoi stabilimenti:

• "Imprese Vincenti 2021 - Filiera e Territorio", progetto di Intesa Sanpaolo per la valorizzazione delle piccole e medie imprese italiane;
• "Campioni dell'Export 2022", promosso e realizzato da Statista e Il Sole 24 Ore, dedicato alle storie di innovazione, caparbietà, sostenibilità, delle imprese nazionali che rappresentano storie d'eccellenza nel mondo;
• "Women Value Company", dedicato alle piccole e medie imprese pubbliche e private che si distinguono nella gestione della gender diversity con politiche di sviluppo innovative e inclusive.

OSAI PUBLISHES SUSTAINABILITY REPORT 2021

The Group, which in 2022 celebrates 30 years since its foundation, continues on its path towards new sustainable growth objectives.

Turin (TO), 31st May 2022 - OSAI (Ticker OSA), a company active in the design and manufacture of machines and complete lines for semiconductor automation and testing, announces that it has approved and published its Sustainability Report for the year 2021, drawn up in accordance with the GRI Standards of the Global Reporting Initiative and with precise references to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG's), to report on how, through its activities, the company can contribute to the achievement of the UN's 2030 Agenda Goals.

On 20 May this year, Il Sole 24Ore in collaboration with Statista, a leading market research company specialising in ranking and analysing company data, included Osai in its ranking of the 200 Italian companies that have distinguished themselves in the field of sustainability, awarding it the Leader in Sustainability 2022 award.

The only company listed on the EGM (Euronext Growth Milan), belonging to the industrial automation sector, to have been awarded the prize, Osai also obtained the ESG Rating from the independent company ECOVADIS, one of the most important international agencies for the assessment of social and environmental sustainability, which awarded it the 'silver medal', placing it within the 74th percentile with the highest scores in the areas of Environment and Labour - Human Rights.

Highlights of the Osai 2021 Sustainability Report

2021 was a year of important consolidation of activities aimed at sustainability following the recovery of corporate productivity, which had been heavily affected by the Pandemic in 2020,

and the publication of the Company's first Sustainability Report in the same year.

The Sustainability Report for the year 2021 highlighted many environmental and governance aspects, but above all, it reported on the commitment to human capital and social issues, which are very important aspects for the Company.

Confirmed, with respect to 2020, the UN Sustainable Development Goals identified in Osai's Materiality Matrix, namely:

• Goal 4: Quality Education
• Goal 5: Gender equality
• Goal 6: Clean water and sanitation
• Goal 7: Clean and affordable energy
• Goal 8: Decent work and economic growth
• Goal 12: Responsible consumption and production
• Goal 13: Combat climate change
• Goal 16: Peace, justice and strong institutions

The year 2021 showed important performances including:

• 100% of electricity from renewable sources, with zero CO2 emissions.
• A self-consumption level of just under 50% of the total energy consumed thanks to Osai's photovoltaic park - amounting to 263 kWp;
• Reducing water consumption over the three-year period (-16.2% in the 2021-2019 comparison) and getting closer to the target of 35 litres per working day/worker;
• 96.3% of the total waste produced (27.1 tonnes) sent for recycling;
• more than 12% of the company car fleet consisting of hybrid/electric or plug-in cars;
• 40 tonnes of CO2 equivalent saved due to over 8,000 smartworking days performed by OSAI staff in 2021;
• 29.8 average hours/year of training per employee;
• Selection of suppliers based on social and environmental criteria as well as performance - for a rigorous evaluation of the Supply Chain according to the OSAI Code of Ethics and the existing ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015 Procedures.
• 64% of the three-year Sustainability Targets (2021-2023) achieved concerning: greenhouse gas emissions, diversity protection and equal opportunities, anti-

corruption, employee welfare and R&D and innovation.

In economic terms, Osai shows an average annual growth of +13.4% with revenues of EUR 38.8 million, of which 7.8% (or EUR 2.54 million) were invested in Research and Development, an area strengthened by the activities of the Innovation & Development Committee, which promotes innovation and research in the company and supports the Board of Directors in strategic decisions. The constant commitment to innovation allows the Company not only to meet customers' requests and needs with increasingly high standards, but also to collaborate with established international realities thanks to its participation in European projects: investments in 2021 involved 10 projects with applications in various areas of strategic interest for the Company, including e-mobility, the circular economy and the addition process for Silicon Carbide. Of particular interest in the area of urban mining is the 'Re4M' project, designed for the efficient recycling of electronic waste (WEEE) and its transformation into new raw material. In 2021, the number of employees rose to 197, +13.9% compared to 2019, with the overall average age of employees stable at around 42 years.

Attention to personnel is one of Osai's strengths, which is very attentive to work-life-balance, achieved through smartworking, flexible working hours, and a corporate welfare plan integrated with health and pension insurance and subsidised financing.

The Sustainability Report highlights the figure of zero occupational illnesses and one accident in the three-year period reported, unrelated to critical aspects of processes or procedures for the health and safety of workers.

It is also worth mentioning that in 2021 a new preliminary assessment of the Risk of Work-Related Stress was started in OSAI; the Company wanted to seize this activity as an important opportunity to better understand the risk areas and implement dedicated improvement plans to increase work well-being.

Among the social sustainability projects in the territory: in 2021 the Company continued its commitment by supporting various initiatives in the territory with social aims in favour of the socio-economic development of the community of Canavese, in particular those dedicated to social inclusion in the company, collaborating with public and private entities with the aim of introducing disabled people into the world of work (Atlantide Project).

During 2021, OSAI had the honour of receiving important awards at national level, which deeply

encapsulate the values that the company has always conveyed inside and outside its plants:

• "Winning Companies 2021 - Supply Chain and Territory", a project of Intesa Sanpaolo for the enhancement of small and medium-sized Italian companies;
• "Campioni dell'Export 2022", promoted and realised by Statista and Il Sole 24 Ore, dedicated to the stories of innovation, stubbornness, sustainability, of national companies that represent stories of excellence in the world;
• "Women Value Company", dedicated to small and medium-sized public and private companies that stand out in the management of gender diversity with innovative and inclusive development policies.
