Orthocell reports first product use and sales of CelGro® in Italy

• Achieved first product use and sales of CelGro® in Italy for dental bone and soft tissue repair

• This milestone follows the recent appointment of Bimar Ortho (“Bimar”) as exclusive distributor of CelGro® in Italy

• Orthocell has now achieved first sales and product use in three key European regions, Italy, Poland and the UK, demonstrating the strong demand for a superior product

• CelGro® guides superior quality bone formation when used to treat bone defects (up to 26% better quality newly formed bone) compared to market leading comparative product

Perth, Australia; 17[th] July 2018 : Regenerative medicine company Orthocell Limited (ASX:OCC, “Orthocell”, or the “Company”) is pleased to announce the first product use and sales of CelGro® in Italy for dental bone and soft tissue repair.

Orthocell Managing Director Paul Anderson said: “We are pleased with the rising interest GelGro® is generating in key European markets, having now achieved first product use and sales in Italy, Poland and the UK. Bimar Ortho (“Bimar”) was appointed exclusive distributor in Italy of Orthocell’s innovative medical device CelGro®, for bone and soft tissue repair in April 2018. Bimar has developed a world class reputation of proven expertise in the promotion and distribution of innovative solutions for bone and soft tissue repair, driven by a a strong sales network. Product uptake in Italy is also being driven by Orthocell’s MSAB members, Dr. Massimo Simion and Dr Giuseppe Luongo, widely published and respected experts in maxillofacial surgery.

On 1 May 2018, Orthocell announced the successful completion of a clinical study using CelGro® for treatment of dental bone defects. The study results demonstrated that CelGro® guides superior quality bone formation when used to treat bone defects and resulted in up to 26% better quality newly formed bone when compared to market leading comparative products.

With the ideal experts and distributors in place, Orthocell is well positioned to gain traction in key European markets and establish the scaffold as the highest quality, best in class medical device for oral bone and soft tissue regeneration procedures.
