Directorate Changes
Origo is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Philip Scales and Mr. John Chapman as non-executive directors of the Company with immediate effect.
Mr. Chapman has been appointed as a director of the Company following a nomination by the Company's largest redeemable preference shareholder, Brooks Macdonald Asset Management Limited, pursuant to article 74 of the Company's articles of association.
The Company also announces that Shonaid Jemmett-Page and Lionel de Saint-Exupery have resigned as directors of the Company with immediate effect. As a result, the Board now comprises Philip Scales, Hiroshi Funaki, John Chapman and Niklas Ponnert.
John Chapman is an experienced investment company director with significant experience in managing and advising investment companies in many emerging and developed markets. Mr. Chapman is a member of the New York State Bar and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) credential.
Philip Scales has over 38 years' experience working in offshore corporate, trust, and third party administration. For 18 years, he was Managing Director of Barings Isle of Man (subsequently to become Northern Trust) where he specialised in establishing offshore fund structures, latterly in the closed-ended arena (both listed and unlisted entities). Mr. Scales subsequently co-founded IOMA Fund and Investment Management Limited (now named FIM Capital Limited) where he is a Deputy Chairman. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators and holds a number of directorships of listed companies and collective investment schemes.
The Board would like to thank Shonaid Jemmett-Page and Lionel de Saint-Exupery for their service on behalf of the Company.

1. Mr. Chapman became a director of Hirco plc on 20 May 2011. Following an adverse costs order against Hirco plc, Hirco plc asked the Isle of Man court to appoint a liquidator because Hirco plc did not have sufficient liquidity to continue as a going concern. On 10 October 2016 the Isle of Man court appointed a liquidator and Hirco plc was placed into creditors' voluntary liquidation. Mr. Chapman resigned as a director of Hirco plc on 10 October 2016.

2. Chip (Six) Limited was put into creditors' voluntary liquidation in May 2012. Mr. Scales resigned as a director of Chip (Six) Limited on 26 April 2012.
3. Hirco Holdings Limited was a subsidiary of Hirco plc. On 10 October 2016, the Isle of Man court appointed a liquidator and Hirco plc was placed into creditors' voluntary liquidation. Hirco Holdings Limited went into members' voluntary liquidation in October 2016. Philp Scales resigned as a director of Hirco Holdings Limited on 26 August 2016.
