Origin Enterprises plc ('Origin' or the 'Company') has received notification today from FMR LLC of an increase in its shareholding in the Company.  Following the acquisition yesterday of 818,000 ordinary shares of €0.01 each in the capital of the Company, FMR LLC is now the holder of 9,072,500 ordinary shares of €0.01 each in Origin.  This holding represents approximately 7.2% of the Company's issued share capital, excluding treasury shares.
