RCR SECURES MAJOR SOLAR FARM PROJECT

Diversified Engineering and Infrastructure Company, RCR Tomlinson Ltd (ASX: RCR) today confirmed that it has been awarded by Origin Energy (“Origin”) an Early Contractor Involvement (“ECI”) contract to provide design and engineering expertise for Origin’s proposed large-scale solar farm located in Dalby, Queensland (“Darling Downs Solar Farm” or the “Project”).

Upon successful completion of the ECI work, achievement of various state and federal regulatory approvals, achievement of grant funding from ARENA under their large scale solar competitive grant funding, receipt of final investment decision by Origin and subject to agreement on terms, RCR would enter into a Design and Construct (“D&C”) Contract for the development of the proposed Solar Farm. The installation of the solar infrastructure, which is permitted to deliver up to 200 MW of generation capacity, will create up to a 200 Ha solar footprint and will utilise the many benefits of being located directly adjacent to Origin’s existing 630 MW Darling Downs Power Station.
