Origin announces new leadership team

Origin Chief Executive Officer, Frank Calabria, today announced changes to the membership and structure of the company’s leadership team.

“These changes remove a leadership layer from the Energy Markets business, simplify the structure and bring operational leadership roles up onto the leadership team,” Mr Calabria said.

“The team reflects our need to deliver better operational performance today while preparing us for the future in a changing industry. With six new members, this group will drive a new performance culture across the organisation.

“I am delighted that I have been able to draw on the deep pool of talent in Origin to fill many of these important leadership roles,” he said.

Mr Calabria’s leadership team comprises:

• David Baldwin – CEO, Integrated Gas*

• Jon Briskin – Executive General Manager, Origin Retail

• Andrew Clarke – Group General Counsel and Company Secretary*

• Greg Jarvis – Executive General Manager, Energy Supply and Operations

• Tony Lucas – Executive General Manager, Future Energy and Business Development

• Carl McCamish – Executive General Manager, Technology, Risk, HSE and Transformation

• Sharon Ridgway – Executive General Manager, People and Culture

*Continues in current role

“An executive search is underway for the role of CFO and for the newly created position of Executive General Manager, Corporate Affairs. Acting CFO Gary Mallett will continue reporting to me while the search process continues, and Ben Bolot will continue reporting to me in the role of Acting General Manager, Strategy and Development,” Mr Calabria said.

Origin expects to announce appointments to the two vacant roles early in 2017.

New Leadership Team biographies

Jon Briskin – Executive General Manager, Origin Retail

Jon joined Origin in 2010. Prior to his new role, Jon held the position of General Manager, Retail. Prior to joining Origin, he worked in management consultancy roles across the financial services, energy, technology and government sectors. Jon holds a Bachelor of Commerce.

Greg Jarvis – Executive General Manager, Energy Supply and Operations

Greg joined Origin in 2002. Prior to his new role, Greg was responsible for Wholesale, Trading, Generation and Business Energy. Greg began his career in the finance industry and holds a Bachelor of Business and a Master of Applied Finance.

Anthony (Tony) Lucas – Executive General Manager, Future Energy and Business Development

Tony joined Origin in 2002. Prior to his new role, Tony held the position of General Manager, Strategy and Risk. He began his career in the banking industry and holds a Diploma in Business Studies and a Master of Applied Finance.

Sharon Ridgway – Executive General Manager, People and Culture

Sharon joined Origin in 2009. Prior to her new role, Sharon held the position of General Manager, People and Culture for Origin’s Energy Markets business. She commenced her career with the major UK electronics retailer, Dixons Group, where she was head of HR and European recruitment. Sharon holds a Bachelor of Business Administration and a postgraduate Diploma in HR Management.
