Origin Agritech Regains Compliance with NASDAQ Capitalization Listing Rules

On March 6, 2020, Origin Agritech Ltd. (the “Company”) received a letter from the NASDAQ Stock Market (“NASDAQ”) notifying the Company that it had a capital deficiency under the continued listing rules of NASDAQ, and therefore the Company was not in compliance with the requirements for continued listing set forth in NASDAQ Listing Rules either 5550(b)(1), or 5550(b)(2), or 5550(b)(3).

The Company was notified on August 3, 2020 that for the 20 consecutive business days from July 2 through July 30, 2020, the Company’s market value of listed securities had been greater than $35,000,000. Accordingly, the Company regained compliance with the listing rules.
