BAJAJ ALLIANZ GENERAL Insurance,whichhasjustcompleted 20 years of operations and never posted any annual losses, on Monday reported a 33.2% growth in its net profit to 1,330 crore forthe yearto March 2021, compared to 999croreinthepreviousyear. However, for the quarter ended March, net income declined by 10.3% to 277 crore,from 303 crore,while gross written premium grew 5% to `2,787 crore, from

`2,655crore.

However,premiumincome incheddown1.6% to12,624 crore in FY21,from 12,833 croreinFY20,managingdirector and chief executive Tapan Singhel saidonMonday.

He said 237 crore of the 1,330-crore net income is underwriting profit, the key measure of an insurance company.Butforthefourthquarter, the sameplungedtoamere 6 crore from 159 crore in last year.InFY20,thecompanyhad an underwriting loss of 11 crore, he said. Assets under management rose 23.5% to 23,150 crore from `18,746 crorein FY20,Singhel said.

राज्याला एप्रिलमध्ये गरजेच्या पुर्ततेच्या जवळपास रेमडेसिविरचा साठा मिळत होता. परंतु त्यापैकी अधिक साठा खासगी रुग्णालयांकडे वळत होता आणि तो परस्पर विकला होता. हा जात परवठा जिल्हाधिकाऱ्यांच्या नियंत्रणाखाली आणल्यानंतर काळ्याबाजाराला बऱ्यापैकी आळा बसला. आजही राज्याला प्रत्येक दिवशी ६० ते ७० हजार रेमडेसिविर इंजेक्शनची गरज आहे. प्रत्यक्षात ३० ते ३५ हजारांच्या आसपास उपलब्ध होत आहे.

१ मे रोजी रेमडेसिविर इंजेक्शनचा आठ हजार ४९६ इतकाच साठा उपलब्ध झाला. तर २ मे रोजी ३६ हजारच्या आसपास साठा मिळाला. मात्र हा ४० हजार साठा अपेक्षित होता, असे अन्न व औषध प्रशासनाच्या प्रसिद्धीपत्रकात म्हटले आहे. याबाबत अन्न व औषध प्रशासनाचे आयक्त परिमल सिंग यांनी कोणतीही प्रतिक्रिया देण्यास नकार दिला. रेमडेसिविरचे उत्पादन राज्यात, सिप्ला कंपनीमार्फत

मुंबई : करोनाशी संबंधित कर्तव्य पार पाडताना संसर्ग होऊन मृत्यु झालेल्यांच्या कुटुंबियांना ५० लाख रुपयांच्या विमा योजने अंतर्गत आतापर्यंत २८७ दावेच मंजूर करण्यात आल्याचे लक्षात आणुन देत आणखी किती दावे प्रलंबित आहेत आणि ते कधीपर्यंत पूर्ण करणार याचा तपशील सादर करण्याचे आदेश न्यायालयाने केंद्र सरकारला दिले आहेत.

या योजनेला वर्षाची मुदतवाढ देण्यातआल्याची माहिती केंद्र सरकारने सर्वोच्च न्यायालयात नुकतीच दिल्यानंतर न्यायालयाने वरील आदेश दिले.
