Appointment of New Director

ORIENT TELECOMS PLC (LSE: "ORIENT" or the "Company), an information technology company that offers managed services in network telecommunication including solutions for internet of things (IOT), cyber security, big data solutions as well as full spectrum of other managed services, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Wong Chee Keong as its Non-Executive Director and Chairman with immediate effect.

Mr Wong has over 40 years of experience in the telecommunication industry in Malaysia and has developed extensive business contacts across the South East Asia. Mr Wong graduated from the University of Liverpool in 1975 with a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics Engineering and started his career as a Research Trainee with Central Electricity Generating Board (London Research) in the UK before joining Malaysian incumbent telecommunication company. He is currently the Non-Executive Director of Silver Ridge Holdings Berhad, a company listed on Bursa Malaysia, providing engineering services to cellular operators.

There is no further information required to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13R of the Listing Rules.
