In Continuation to our earlier letter dated today i.e. January 20, 2022, this is to inform you that the Board of Directors of the Company at their meeting held today, inter-alia considered and approved the reappointment of Mr. Rakesh Khanna, as the Managing Director of the Company, on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, for a period of two years effective from January 23, 2022, subject to approval of the shareholders of the Company. The approval of the shareholders is sought to be taken through postal ballot process. He will continue to be Chief Executive Officer and thus, a Key Managerial Personnel, and designated as Managing Director & CEO of the Company. Brief profile of Mr. Rakesh Khanna is as under:

Mr. Rakesh Khanna holds a B.E.(Mechanical) degree in engineering from Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, a master’s degree in Marketing from University of Mumbai. He has more than 33 years of experience of working with companies of national and international repute in consumer durables, consumer electronics, electrical and lighting sectors. Prior to joining Orient Electric, he headed the Distribution business of Sony & IT Products for Jumbo Electronics in UAE.
