Appointment of Global Head of Projects & Manufacturing Executive Roles

Orica Limited today announced the appointment of Ron Douglas to the role of Global Head of Projects, reporting directly to Ian Smith, Orica’s Managing Director and CEO. The role will increase Orica’s ability to deliver large capital projects as well as further develop project management capabilities, disciplines and standards globally.

Ron has over 25 years operational performance and capital development experience within the mining sector in Australia, United Kingdom, USA, South East Asia and Africa.

This appointment is effective October 2012.

In addition Mr Smith announced the appointment of Sean Winstone to the role of Manufacturing Executive. This role will be responsible for the manufacturing processes - Ammonium Nitrate, Sodium Cyanide and Chlorine plants within Orica and will be reporting to the Global Head of Manufacturing and a member of the Executive Committee.

Sean has extensive knowledge of SH&E within the manufacturing area and has had 23 years of operational experience within Orica. This appointment is effective 1 October 2012.

Orica Limited separately announced in May 2012 the appointment of Molly Zhang as Manufacturing Executive. This role is responsible for the manufacturing process of Initiation Systems within Orica.

Molly has extensive experience in managing large scale manufacturing operations, complex international supply chains and major capital investments.

Both of the Manufacturing Executive roles will be reporting to the Global Head of Manufacturing and will be members of the Executive Committee.

This now completes the Executive Committee structure.
