ASX ANNOUNCEMENT
SCHEME OF ARRANGEMENT EFFECTIVE
Monaro Mining NL (“Monaro”, the “Company” or “MRO”) is pleased to announce that further to the announcement on Thursday, 24 July 2008, Uranium King Limited (“UKL”) has lodged with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission ( ASIC ) a copy of the Court order of the Perth Registry of the Federal Court approving the Scheme of Arrangement between UKL and its shareholders relating to the merger of UKL and Monaro.
The Scheme of Arrangement is now legally effective and the scheme will be implemented on 12 August 2008 (please see ASX announcement dated 24 July 2008 for a detailed implementation timetable).
The board of directors of Monaro and UKL has been reconstituted to comprise:

Mrs Anne Adaley is the Company Secretary of both Monaro and UKL.
In accordance with the Merger Implementation Agreement, Monaro will establish a Technical Advisory Panel to report to the Board. This Technical Advisory Panel will comprise a range of technical experts drawn from both companies and will be chaired by Dr Bernhard Free and will include Mr Sam Sapper and Mr Mart Rampe. Dr Bernhard Free and Mr Sam Sapper are former directors of UKL.
