TRADING HALT

The securities of Australian-American Mining Corporation Limited (the "Company") will be placed in Trading Halt Session State at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in Trading Halt Session State until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Wednesday, 14 March 2012 or when the announcement is released to the market.

The Directors of Australian-American Mining Corporation Limited (ASX: AIW) request a Trading Halt in the Company's securities.

As required by ASX Listing Rule 17.1, AIW provides the following information:

• $\bullet$ The Trading Halt is requested pending the release of an announcement concerning changes in the Board of Directors and management of the company;
• The Trading Halt is requested for the period ending 7.00am on Wednesday 14 March 2012:
• It is expected that the trading halt will end following the release of the $\bullet$ announcement concerning the changes;
• AIW is not aware of any reason why the Trading Halt should not be granted; and
• AIW has no other information necessary to inform the market about the Trading Halt.
