The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– ORBIS AG: Consulting revenues rise by 8.6%, Company holds fast to consolidation Saarbrücken, August 21, 2002 The business consulting firm ORBIS AG recorded revenues of EUR 13.8 million during the first half of 2002 for an 8.6% increase over the sales revenues in the consulting segment for the same period last year (EUR 12.7 million). Production costs remained almost steady at EUR 13.2 million (EUR 13 million). The result for the first half of the year contains the result from new positioning in the amount of EUR 1.2 million, which contains the dissolution of deferred and accrued revenues and earnings. The operating result (EBIT) improved by 26% or EUR 0.9 million to minus EUR 2.7 million over the previous year (minus EUR 3.6 million). The result after tax and minority shares remained nearly steady at minus EUR 2.3 million. The result per share amounts to minus EUR 0.25 (minus EUR 0.24). ORBIS AG had 329 employees (414) at the end of the first half of the year. ORBIS AG continues to hold fast to ongoing consolidation efforts. The positive effects of measures already implemented will be realized beginning with the second half of 2002. In light of orders already received and the fact that nearly 50% of the annual sales target was already attained by the end of the first half of the year, ORBIS AG is confident that it will achieve its sales objective for the year of EUR 28 million.
