TRADING HALT

The securities of Eastern Goldfields Limited (the “Company”) will be placed in Trading Halt Session State at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in Trading Halt Session State until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Tuesday 8 August 2017 or when the announcement is released to the market.

Eastern Goldfields Limited (ASX: EGS) – Request for trading halt

Pursuant to ASX Listing Rule 17.1, Eastern Goldfields Limited ( Company ) requests an immediate trading halt be granted by ASX in respect of its ordinary shares.

In accordance with ASX Listing Rule 17.1, the Company provides the following information:

1. Reason for trading halt – The trading halt is requested pending the release of an update on exploration drilling results and Company operations.

2. Duration of the trading halt – the Company anticipates that the trading halt will remain in place until the earlier of such time as it makes the abovementioned announcement to the market and the commencement of trading on Tuesday 8 August 2017.

3. Termination of the trading halt – the Company anticipates that the trading halt will cease upon it making the abovementioned announcement.

4. No reason – the Company is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.

5. Further information – the Company is not aware of any other information to inform the market about the trading halt.
