CHANGE OF CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER AND JOINT COMPANY SECRETARY
Ora Banda Mining Limited (ASX:OBM) (Ora Banda or the Company) is pleased to announce the appointment of Doug Warden as the Company’s new Chief Financial Officer and Joint Company Secretary, effective from 28 August 2024. Doug is a seasoned CFO with over 30 years of experience in leading the finance functions of ASX listed companies.
Most recently, Doug was the CFO of Core Lithium Limited, where he oversaw a $110m equity raise to position Core with a strong balance sheet to navigate the soft lithium price environment. Prior to joining Core, Doug was the CFO at Resolute Mining Limited and spent 13 years at Iluka Resources Limited, where he held various executive roles including CFO and Head of Resource Development. Doug began his career in corporate finance and restructuring with KPMG and EY. Doug is a Chartered Accountant and holds an MBA (Executive) from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
Gareth Jones has decided to step down from the role effective from 28 August 2024 to pursue different opportunities and will complete a handover period until 6 September 2024.
Ora Banda Managing Director, Luke Creagh, expressed his gratitude to Gareth for his contribution and dedication to Ora Banda over the last 18 months.
“Gareth has been with Ora Banda since February 2023 and has played an important role in leading the financial management of the business through a significant period of growth and transformation. During his time at Ora Banda, Gareth has supported the business through completion of the WesCEF JV deal as well as overseeing improvements across the whole finance function.
