Appointment of new Directors

Swan Gold Mining Ltd (ASX: SWA) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Damian Delaney to the Board, together with Messrs Martin Depisch and Dr Gerhard Kornfeld (nominees of DCM DECOmetal GmbH) on 25 July 2012. Messrs K Vuleta, I Price and A Brown resigned as directors on the same date. The company recognizes the efforts of the outgoing directors over the past two difficult years.

Mr Delaney is a chartered accountant with many years’ experience working with international listed companies. He has been involved in numerous capital raisings for the junior resource sector and brings significant experience in capital markets for the SME sector.

Mr Depisch, an Austrian national, completed his Master in Business Administration, with emphasis on Finance at Karl-Franzens University in Graz Austria. Mr Depisch has over 15 years experience in financing and project management in the mining sector.

Dr Kornfeld, also an Austrian national, completed his PhD at the University of Economics in Vienna and has been involved in various executive positions throughout Europe.

The Board is now focused on completion of the transaction announced to the market on 3 May 2012. Primarily the protection of the current asset base, the securing of funding to take the company forward and the relisting of the shares on the ASX is the drive for the next 2 to 3 months, including making sure the company clears any backlog of outstanding regulatory issues.
