TRADING HALT

The securities of Opthea Limited (the “Company”) will be placed in Trading Halt Session State at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in Trading Halt Session State until the commencement of normal trading on 5 April 2017.

Request for Trading Halt

Pursuant to Listing Rule 17.1, Opthea Limited (ACN 006 340 567) ( Opthea ) requests an extension to the current trading halt in all of its quoted securities (ASX Code: OPT), pending the release of an announcement in relation to a potential capital raising ( Proposed Transaction ).

Opthea requests that the trading halt remain in place until the earlier of such time as it makes an announcement to the market in relation to the completion of the institutional component of the Proposed Transaction or prior to the commencement of trading on Wednesday, 5 April 2017.

Opthea is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted or any other information necessary to inform the market about the trading halt.
