Circadian appoints Ms Tina McMeckan as non-executive Director

The Board of Directors of Circadian Technologies Limited (“Circadian”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Tina McMeckan as a non-executive Director and as a Member of the Company’s Audit Committee.

Tina McMeckan has over 20 years experience as a company director and senior executive. Her specific skills are in the energy sector and commercialisation of science and technology. She has served as the Chairman or a Member on various Audit, Compliance, Due Diligence, Nomination and Remuneration Board Committees.

Ms McMeckan is presently Chairman of the Centre for Eye Research Australia and a Director of Nanotechnology Victoria Ltd, the Vision Cooperative Research Centre, MediHerb Holdings Ltd and is also a Member of the National Board of Deacons law firm. She is a past Member of the Funds Management Committee of the AusIndustry Research and Development Board and has held senior investment management positions with the Australian Industry Development Corporation and AMRAD Corporation (recently acquired by CSL Limited) focussing on capital raisings for innovation-based ventures.

She also has extensive Board expertise in public and private utility infrastructure including power production, networks and retailing businesses in the gas and electricity industries. She has recently retired as a Director of Alinta Limited. Her other appointments as a Director have included United Energy, Snowy Hydro Trading, the Westar and Kinetik Energy Group, Victorian Power Exchange, and Solaris Power. .

During her career, Ms McMeckan has worked in an executive management capacity with GPU PowerNet, the SECV Energy Traders and as a project manager with the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance on gas industry reform.
