AQUABOTIX RECEIVES NON-DILUTIVE AWARD & BUSINESS UPDATE

• Aquabotix receives a US$71,000 (~A$110,000) order from the University of Southern Mississippi (“USM”) to support its Unmanned Maritime Systems Program.

• Aquabotix will deliver hardware and services to the USM. Delivery of, and payment for the order is expected to occur in 2Q and 3Q 2020.

• In addition to this order, Aquabotix is separately addressing business issues relating to COVID-19, and in particular opportunities relating to non-dilutive funding sources.

UUV Aquabotix Ltd (ASX:UUV) (“Aquabotix" or the “Company”) is pleased to advise that it has received an approximately US$71,000 award from the University of Southern Mississippi’s School of Ocean Science and Engineering. Through the second and third quarters of this year, the Company will support the USM’s Unmanned Maritime Systems Program, delivering a SwarmDiver[TM] system and related services, under the above referenced funded contract.

“The Company’s offerings are well suited to both operational and research environments”, commented Whitney Million, Chief Executive Officer for Aquabotix. “While our products have to date predominantly been sold to defence customers as the primary first adopters, we have separately identified dozens of other non-defence use cases for our products. We are excited to be expanding our efforts into these commercial and research arenas, which have the potential to reach more broadly in the future.”

In addition to working to advance discussions and secure orders such as these, the Company has been working to address market changes relating to COVID-19. As military support and supply are generally considered to be essential activities, there is a notable trend of governments to not only allow continued manufacturing during lock-down and other mandated restriction periods but to also provide non-dilutive funding or other types of support to assist small and medium sized businesses. Aquabotix is closely monitoring the implementation of and changes to assistance and relief programs and is seeking support where commercially viable.
