Changes in the Supervisory Board

OMV Petrom S.A. (OMV Petrom) announces the appointment of Thomas Gangl as interim member of the Supervisory Board of OMV Petrom, as well as Deputy President of the Presidential and Nomination Committee of OMV Petrom, following Manfred Leitner's waiver of his mandate in the above-mentioned positions.

In accordance with article 1537 paragraph (1) of the Romanian company law no. 31/1990 and with art. 17.4 of OMV Petrom S.A.'s Articles of Association, Thomas Gangl was appointed as interim member of the Supervisory Board and Deputy President of the Presidential and Nomination Committee of OMV Petrom, effective as of July 1, 2019 and until the next General Meeting of Shareholders.

Thomas Gangl graduated in chemical engineering from Vienna University of Technology and also in mechanical engineering from the University of Salford (Manchester). He started his career with OMV in 1998 as process engineer within the Schwechat Refinery where he held various management positions over the years. Since 2016, Thomas Gangl has been Senior Vice President Business Unit Refining & Petrochemicals, being responsible for all three OMV refineries. As of July 1, 2019, Thomas Gangl will become Member of the Executive Board of OMV Aktiengesellschaft, responsible for Refining & Petrochemical Operations.
