Appointment of Principal Officers

  1. At a meeting on September 24, 2004, the Board of Directors of Olin Corporation (the "Company") elected Virginia A. Kamsky as a new Class II director. Ms. Kamsky was not appointed to serve on any committees of the Company's Board of Directors, but may be appointed to one or more committees in the future. A copy of the press release announcing the election of Ms. Kamsky is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
