Corporate-news transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Ariane 5 contract for MT Aerospace AG in the amount of EUR 150 million Production of Booster-Casings for a further 27 ARIANE 5 Launchers awarded by Europropulsion S.A. Bremen/Augsburg, September 12, 2005. Augsburg-based space company MT Aerospace AG, a subsidiary of OHB Technology AG (ISIN: DE0005936124) has received a contract from Europropulsion S.A. for the production and delivery of 54 booster-casings for a further 27 Ariane 5 launchers. The signatures of the representatives of Europropulsion and MT Aerospace sealed the first major contract for the Augsburg company since the new ownership. The contract has a value of more than 150 million euros. The booster casings will be delivered over a period of several years beginning in 2005 with the last delivery due to take place in 2009, thus ensuring that engineering and production will be working to full capacity during the coming years in this area. For the first time the newly developed welded and therefore lighter booster will be produced. As well as being more economic in production, a considerable reduction in weight is achieved leading to an increase of approximately 200 kg in the payload of Ariane 5. “With this advanced development MT Aerospace not only proves its technological expertise but also makes a substantial contribution to increasing the profitability of the European launcher Ariane 5” Walter Köppel (Member of the Management Board) explained the upcoming business perspectives. MT Aerospace AG: The Augsburg-based MT Aerospace AG, a subsidiary of OHB Technology AG and Apollo Capital Partners GmbH, Germany’s largest supplier of components for the ARIANE 5 program, providing structures, tanks and services at the spaceport in Kourou. High temperature resistant structural components such as are required for recoverable space transport systems are as much a part of the product range as are tanks for water systems for the airbus fleet. OHB Technology AG took over a 70 % stake in MT Aerospace AG on June 28, 2005.
