OEM International acquires Akkupojat OY in Finland

OEM International has today acquired Akkupojat OY with offices in Finnish Björneborg and Turku. Akkupojat markets batteries and has an annual turnover of approximately 1,5 MEUR. The acquisition means that OEM strengthens the position within mainly start batteries in the Finnish market.

• We are satisfied over the acquisition of a well-managed company that will strengthen our market position as well as our offer within batteries. There is a great potential in continuing to develop the company and further improve the competitiveness through product range development, says Jörgen Zahlin, Managing Director and CEO for OEM International.

The purchase sum amounts to 0,5 MEUR plus an additional purchase sum based on how the business develops during 2012 and 2013. The acquisition is expected to have a small positive impact on OEM's profit for the current year.
