Ocean Sun AS: Incident with floating solar power plant in Albania
Wednesday evening June 9th 2021, Ocean Sun was informed about an incident with the floating solar power plant at the Statkraft Banja hydro power reservoir in Albania. The floating ring with membrane and two connected barges have been severely damaged and are partly submerged. Salvaging the assets including solar panels is ongoing.
The company is working closely with Statkraft to determine the reasons and the consequences of the incident
