Nyrstar NV announces information on the acquisition of own shares, as required by article 207 of the Royal Decree dated 30 January 2001 executing the Belgian Company Code.
Nyrstar announces today that during the period from 1 June until 3 June 2011 it has acquired 415,511 own shares on NYSE Euronext Brussels.

Nyrstar has successfully completed its share buy back program by acquiring an additional 2,765,000 Nyrstar shares bringing the total of own shares held by Nyrstar at 6,396,558 shares.
The board of director's authorisation to acquire own shares was renewed at the Extraordinary General Meeting dated 26 May 2009.
