NYSE Euronext Brussels announced today that, following their quarterly review, Nyrstar NV ("Nyrstar") will be included within the BEL 20 Index as of 20 June 2011. The changes to the indices will be effective after close of business on the third Friday of June (17 June 2011).
Commenting on the inclusion in the BEL 20 Index, Nyrstar's Chief Executive Officer, Roland Junck said:
"We are pleased to enter the BEL 20 Index as we believe this reflects our growth and our performance, along with the importance of Nyrstar within the Belgian market. We are working hard to keep delivering on our strategic transformation and we thank our shareholders for their continued support."
The BEL20® Index is a real-time index reflecting the continuous price evolution of the 20 most liquid Belgian shares listed on Euronext Brussels and serves as Blue-chip index for Euronext Brussels. The weight of the index constituents is based on their market capitalisation adjusted for free float by using a free float banding system. The index is published continuously but the official closing price is only published after 5.40 pm.
