ITEM 1. Description of Registrant’s Securities to be Registered.

The shares to be registered hereunder are common shares of beneficial interest, par value $0.01 per share (the “Common Shares”), of Nuveen Dividend Advantage Municipal Income Fund (to be renamed Nuveen Enhanced AMT-Free Municipal Credit Opportunities Fund as of April 11, 2016) (the “Registrant”). The description of the Common Shares is contained in the joint proxy statement/prospectus and in the related exhibits included in the registration statement on Form N-14, pre-effective amendment no. 2, filed by the Registrant under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the “Securities Act”), on October 16, 2015 (Registration No. 333-206627) and declared effective on October 22, 2015, and such description as included in the joint proxy statement/prospectus filed pursuant to Rule 497 under the Securities Act on October 23, 2015.
