In line with the corporate di s closure requirement under Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Dis c losure Requirements) Regulations 2015, we wish to inform that :

In pursuance of Article 41 of the Articles of Association of N T PC Limited, Ministry of Power has, vide its Order No. 8/7/2019-Th.-1 dated 25[th] March, 2020, conveyed appr o val of the Competent Authority for ap p ointment of Shri Ramesh Babu V , Executive Director, NTPC to the post of Director (Operations), NTPC Li m ited w.e.f. the date of his assumption of c harge of the post on or after 1.5.2 0 20 till the date of his superannuation or until further orders, whichever is th e earlier.

Shri Ramesh Babu V (DIN:08736805) has taken charge as Director (Operations), NTPC o n 1[st] May, 2020. He is a Mechanical Engineering graduate from NIT S r inagar and Masters in Thermal engineer i ng from IIT Delhi and joined NTP C as 12[th] batch Executive Trainee in 1987. He has over 32 years of vast expe r ience with outstanding contribution in ma n agement of large size plants in the area of power plant operation & m aintenance, Renovation & moderni z ation of old units and in area of efficiency a nd systems improvement of therm a l plants. He, as a Professional Manager a nd Strategic Planner, has led sev e ral initiatives for improving reliability and efficiency of Plants.

Shri Ramesh Babu‘s e x perience in power sector includes Senior M anagement level exposure as a “ B usiness Unit Head” of NTPC Talcher Kaniha & NSPCL Durgapur. Prior to el e vation to the post of Director (Operati o ns), he was working as ED to CM D & was working on system improvement a ctivities and strategies related to o p erational excellence of NTPC power plants.

As Director (Operatio n s), NTPC, he is responsible for overall planning for Safe, Reliable and E f ficient operation of all power generating stations of NTPC group Portfol i o, while ensuring fuel security & e n vironmental compliance of all Pow e r Stations.

Shri Ramesh Babu V holds 3240 shares of NTPC and he is not inter-se related with other dire c tors on the Board of the Company.
