Change to chairmanship of the Management Board of Nieuwe Steen Investments

HOORN – Mrs J.J.M. (Anka) Reijnen has decided to focus on financial and operational management within the Management Board of Nieuwe Steen Investments NV in the capacity of CFO. A candidate will be sought from outside the company for the vacant position of Chairman of the Management Board (or CEO). The first steps in this process have been taken on the instructions of the Supervisory Board. We are aiming for a candidate nomination as soon as possible.

Anka Reijnen explained her decision as follows: "I have worked with much commitment and enthusiasm towards a change process within Nieuwe Steen Investments in recent years. The new strategy accepted by shareholders in 2007 of further growth and internationalisation has now been put in place, and the organisation now has to be structured and expanded to reflect this. My view is that this new phase requires a different type of leadership. I have stated my preference to continue my career at Nieuwe Steen Investments in a position more directly involved with the real estate. As CFO, I will remain responsible for the financial management, and, using my knowledge and experience of the company, I also expect to be able to support the new CEO in the formulation and development of policy lines for the future".
