NORMA Group AG acquires Connectors Verbindungstechnik AG, a supplier to the pharmaceutical industry

Maintal, Germany, 19 April 2012 – NORMA Group AG ('NORMA Group'), a global market and technology leader for engineered joining technology, acquired Connectors Verbindungstechnik AG ('Connectors') effective 19 April 2012. The parties agreed to maintain confidentiality on the details of the transaction.

Connectors, based in Tagelswangen, Switzerland, specialises on connector systems for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry. For more than 25 years, the company has been manufacturing and distributing connector elements that meet the highest purity standards for medical sterile technology. The product range includes clamps, valves, tubes and joining solutions for the transport of fluids and gases in medical applications. In addition, Connectors also offers its customers consultancy and planning services for pharmaceutical process plants. The company generated sales of around EUR 14 million in the financial year 2011. It will be consolidated as part of NORMA Group with immediate effect.
