NORMA Group issued Gold Status by EcoVadis for its achievements in the area of sustainability

Maintal, Germany, 23 February 2016 – NORMA Group, a global market leader in engineered joining technology, has been issued Gold Status in the EcoVadis Rating for its achievements in the area of sustainability. The company thus ranks among the top five percent of all companies assessed and was praised for its holistic approach to sustainability management, in particular.

“As a sustainable company, NORMA Group assumes a high degree of responsibility for people and the environment with its international supply chains,” says Werner Deggim, CEO of NORMA Group. “The products that NORMA Group offers help reduce emissions and lower consumption of resources. EcoVadis Gold Status confirms that in production and procurement good economic management is always the top priority for NORMA Group.”

EcoVadis is a leading, independent provider of sustainability ratings. Through its assessments, the sustainability activities of companies with international supply chains are made measurable and comparable. Companies are evaluated in the four categories environment, working conditions and human rights, responsible management and sustainable procurement.

NORMA Group’s ranking among the top five percent of all companies assessed shows that the principles of good economic management are executed in their entirety and constantly further developed. NORMA Group ratified the Supplier Code of Conduct in 2015 to ensure compliance with social and environmental standards in the supply chain. The 2018 Corporate Responsibility (CR) Roadmap was then published at the beginning of 2016. It supports NORMA Group’s CR strategy by adding specific measures and targets ( www.normagroup.com/CR Roadmap ) .

NORMA Group ensures transparency with respect to its own achievements and the progress the company is making in the area of Corporate Responsibility on the website www.normagroup.com/cr and in its Sustainability Report that was first published in 2014.
