NorCom makes DaSense usable on the latest Microsoft Azure technology

NorCom Information Technology GmbH & Co. KGaA has successfully completed the integration of DaSense with Microsoft Azure Databricks. This will allow NorCom customers and users of DaSense to benefit internationally from the advantages of the latest cloud generation: Fast access and easy use of many hundreds of computers for analyzes without wasting time and, unlike previously, without cost of ownership.
As the first customer, Daimler AG uses the cloud-ready version of DaSense as part of its "eXtollo" cloud environment, which is based on Microsoft Azure. This clears the way for international, cloud-based projects with DaSense.
"The cloud capability of NorCom Big Data software products is the central theme of 2019, as our enterprise customers reach their limits in analyzing the vast amounts of data now being produced in the automotive development process with existing on-premise solutions.By porting to Microsoft Azure, DaSense now gives its customers access to the benefits of a cloud environment", says Dr. Tobias Abthoff, Managing Director of NorCom.
The hurdles to using big data analytics are significantly reduced in the current cloud generation: Initial investment in large-scale computing networks is eliminated by providing the data and technology to be evaluated through the cloud. Developers automatically receive the resources required for their analyzes via the system as well as a minute-by-minute billing for their application. Although this means an immense acceleration of work processes, these benefits can be achieved cost-effectively through the cloud.
For applications sourced from the cloud such as DaSense, the billing model will not change: DaSense will continue to be licensed based on the amount of data analyzed.
