Software licenses and software maintenance for the NC-Integrate
middleware
Tax authorities in the Northern German states as well as Berlin to
adopt the proven NorCom solution in the future
Munich, December 19, 2006 - NorCom Information Technology AG is rolling out
the NC-Integrate ('Distributed Application Platform') middleware for the
central tax authorities of the Northern German states and Berlin.
Starting in 2007, the tax authorities of the four German states of
Schleswig-Holstein, Hamburg, Bremen and Berlin will be implementing the
UNIFA (UNIverseller Finanzamts-Arbeitsplatz) dialog system. UNIFA provides
automation support for the tax authorities? processes. It will be deployed
at nearly all of the workplaces of the participating tax offices and
provide IT support for most of the tasks performed by clerks. UNIFA is an
automation architecture for present and future requirements allowing the
tax authorities to operate on a more efficient and customer-friendly basis
and to improve the dialog with taxpayers and tax authority staff.
The basic component of UNIFA is the NorCom NC-Integrate software. For
NorCom, this means the sale of new NC-Integrate licenses worth around ? 1
million as well as corresponding maintenance contracts.
The UNIFA system is thus being deployed in a total of 11 German states and
forms the basis for the Konsens-Dialog process, which is to be introduced
on a nationwide level in the future. This will operate as an interface
permitting the tax authorities of the 16 German states to use the various
specialist processes.
