The project will implement the NorCom Global Security Enterprise Framework (NGS EF) product as the central user management system at ADIG Investment’s two main offices in Munich and Luxembourg. Scheduled to go live before the end of this year, the solution will allow roughly 500 users to access the company’s most important data via a single secure access layer. A subsidiary of Commerzbank, ADIG will be able to protect its investment account management and other applications by adding central access control. To this end, the core components of NorCom’s NGS EF product are being employed for user and rights management. The roll-based cross-application control system ensures that all access and transactions are uniformly checked and authorized. In this way, all the processes in the applications involved will undergo the NorCom security check in the future. The flexible NGS connector solution will link the user administration modules of the various applications to the overarching NGS security system, allowing organizational changes to be made on a central basis in the user administration system. In the medium term, further present and new applications are to be integrated into the system. “We have opted for NorCom technology as it gives us a uniform access management system ensuring a high degree of additional transparency and hence security. By placing the new security system in front of our mission-critical data pool, we are able to shield our customers, partners and employees from unauthorized use of data and manipulation,” explains Arnd Thorn, managing director of ADIG Investment. “Security and reliability are absolutely crucial today when it comes maintaining customer confidence. We have implemented the new NGS EF-based system in such a way that proprietary software applications and new functions can be integrated effortlessly in the central security system. In this way, we are creating a basis for long-term enterprise-wide security,” stresses Dr. Tobias Abthoff, managing director of NorCom Systems Technology GmbH.
