NorCom announcing preliminary figures for fiscal 2006
Munich, March 19, 2007 - NorCom Information Technology AG has today
released its preliminary figures for fiscal 2006. According to these
figures, consolidated revenues came to around € 29.9 million, an increase
of around 20 percent over the previous year (€ 24.7 million). Consequently,
the revenue growth target of around 10 percent for the year as a whole was
substantially exceeded.
At around € 2.5 million and, thus, around 150 percent up on the previous
year (€ 1.0 million), consolidated net income for the year was extremely
encouraging.
In the fourth quarter in particular, NorCom achieved a further substantial
increase in revenues due primarily to two decisive factors. For one thing,
the NCPower multimedia production system was launched successfully on the
Eastern European market and, for another, license contracts with a total of
four tax authorities were signed.
NorCom is operating at a profit in fiscal year 2006: According to
preliminary calculations, earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and
amortization (EBITDA) came to around € 2.6 million (previous year: € 3.2
million). Earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) of around € 1.8 million
(previous year: € 2.7 million) are expected. The decline in operating
profit was primarily due the Group’s new positioning and the expenses in
the product segment, especially in sales & marketing and research &
development.
With these results, the Management Board is able to look back on a very
successful business year, which also provides incentive to step up the pace
of the Company’s dynamic growth. In particular, the structural changes
aimed at intensifying market activities in the areas of scalable and
high-margin media products, extensions to global distribution activities
and successful customer base diversification in the consulting segment made
a key contribution in 2006 to boosting sales and also achieving
substantially improved net income for the year.
The final consolidated figures for 2006 will be released at the end of
March.
