Portfolio Update

Nippon Active Value Fund plc (the "Fund") today filed a report with Japanese authorities indicating that the Fund, as of 28 September 2020, owns 337,900 shares representing 5.03 percent of outstanding shares of Ebara Jitsugyo Co. (code 6328 JT), a company listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. 

The Fund states in its filing that the purpose of the holding was for "Investment" and "providing our advice to the management and, according to circumstances, making Important Proposals. Especially, Nippon Active Value Fund ("NAVF") believes the share price of Ebara Jitsugyo ("the Company") does not reflect the Company's financial strength and market position. NAVF may request the Company's management to have a dialogue with NAVF to determine ways that the Company can enhance value for all shareholders."
