Nice acquires ACM, a leading Italian player in the automation solutions for shutters and awnings
The Treviso-based multinational company acquires ACM, thereby strengthening its position in the screen automation segment, confirming itself as one of the top players worldwide in terms of the breadth of solutions offered
Oderzo (TV - Italy), 11 June 2018 - Nice S.p.A., an international leader in Home & Building Automation and Home Security, has acquired ACM, a company based in Rome, providing automation solutions for shutters and awnings.
Founded in the 1970s, in Pomezia, Rome, by the Lanzoni family with the aim of offering technical solutions in step with the times and the capacity to enter to new markets, ACM is a leading provider of solutions for the automation of roller shutters and awnings with 2017 turnover coming in at approximately Euro 17 million, mainly generated abroad, in more than 40 countries worldwide.
"Made in Italy" quality: ACM offers a wide range of motors and accessories for international customers wishing to automate shutters and awnings using simple, customisable solutions that are designed and tested by qualified staff in the R&D Department and manufactured and assembled in Italy, at the Pomezia (Rome) plant, in accordance with the strictest quality standards.
Lauro Buoro, founder and Chairman of Nice S.p.A., commented: "This is an important step for the Group, which allows us to continue our growth both organic and through acquisitions in the Home & Building Automation sector. More specifically, this acquisition allows Nice to strengthen its position in the screen automation segment".

"This step will lead us to strengthen our presence, particularly on international markets, immediately achieving commercial and technological synergies that make for further business development".
According to the reached agreements, the purchase of 100% of ACM is subject to certain contractual conditions to be met over the next few weeks, and the consequent payment by the Nice Group of a total amount of Euro 11,9 million in several tranches. The purchase will be financed through own funds and credit facilities already available to the Group.
The acquisition is considered as "non-significant" under the terms of article 71 of the Issuers' Regulation and the criteria pursuant to Annex 3B of said Issuers' Regulation.
