Nice enters the Access Control sector in South America, confirming the ongoing push towards internationalization

The Nice Group reinforces its leadership in the South American market as an important player for building automation and security.

Oderzo (TV), 29 December 2017 – The Nice Group announces the acquisition of Linear Equipmentos e Servicos Ltda, a Brazilian company with its head office in San Paolo, specialized in access control for apartment security, with an annual turnover of around 30 million Brazilian Real. The objective: to reinforce the market presence of the group in the south American market, increasing the product selection for home automation, anti-intrusion systems and in access control, improving the level of customer service thanks to the synergies through the current, and future platforms for Nice in the Region.

Based on the agreements reached, the acquisition of 100% of the capital of Linear Equipmentos will be finalized at the beginning of January 2018 through the payment by the Nice Group of a price equal to 35 million Brazilian Real. Moreover, there is an expected earn-out agreement based on the turnover, which the acquired company will generate in 2018. The acquisition will be financed by the group's own resources and credit lines already available to the group.

"It is a strategic operation for the Nice - stated Lauro Buoro, Chairman of Nice S.p.A - that will allow the further increase of the range of Access Control products and reinforcing the leading position in Latin America and high potential within the housing sector".

It is pointed out that the acquisition is not deemed to be significant pursuant to Article 71 of the Issuers' Regulation and the criteria set out in Annex 3B of the above mentioned Issuers' Regulation.
