Nexus AG: Very Positive Development in Sales and Result in the First Half-Year 2006

The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Villingen-Schwenningen, August 21st, 2006: NEXUS AG, Villingen-Schwenningen, is listed in the Prime Standard and posted consolidated sales of KEUR 11,041 after KEUR 9,873 (+ 11.8%) in the first half year. The operating result improved considerably from KEUR 562 following KEUR 210 (+167.6%) in the previous year. The second quarter closed with sales of KEUR 5,754 compared to KEUR 4,842 in the previous year (+18.8%) and an operating result before taxes of KEUR 204 (previous year: KEUR -20). Sales showed good news with an increase in the Healthcare Software sector in the second quarter, rising by approximately 30.3% to KEUR 4,802. Sales in this segment increased by a total of 19.5% to KEUR 9,100 (previous year: KEUR 7,613). The foreign share was approx. 34% following 18% in the previous year. The Healthcare Service Division recorded sales of 1,941 in the first six months following KEUR 2,260 (-14.1%) due to a decline in hardware business. The Group result after taxes improved from KEUR 100 to KEUR 443. NEXUS / SCHWEIZ, Schwerzenbach, which was created from the acquired iSOFT Switzerland, Schwerzenbach, is included with figures of one month. As of June 30, 2006, the balance sheet of the NEXUS AG showed cash on hand and securities worth EUR 17.4 million, against which there are no substantial financial liabilities. The equity capital rate was 83%. NEXUS develops and markets IT-solutions for the healthcare sector.
