Nexus AG: Sales Increase Further and Improved Result

The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— Villingen-Schwenningen, November 20th, 2006: NEXUS AG, listed in Prime Standard, had sales of KEUR 17,110 in the first nine months 2006 compared to KEUR 15,102 in the previous year (+13.3%) and achieved a substantially better operating result before taxes of KEUR 736 compared to KEUR 224 (+KEUR 512) in the previous year. Sales in the core business, Healthcare Software, increased by 24.8% to KEUR 14,172 (previous year: KEUR 11,354) in the first nine months. The Healthcare Service Division recorded sales of 2,938 following KEUR 3,748 (-21.6%) due to a further decline in hardware business. The EBITDA of the Group increased to KEUR 2,887 (previous year: KEUR 2,548) in the first nine months of 2006. The foreign share was approx. 31.8% following 15.9% in the previous year. The result after taxes improved from KEUR –76 to KEUR 592 (+KEUR 668). NEXUS Schweiz, Schwerzenbach, which was created from the acquired iSOFT Switzerland, Schwerzenbach, is included in the figures. The third quarter closed with sales of KEUR 6,069 following KEUR 5,230 in the previous year (+16.0%). Sales increases in the Healthcare Software remain the driving force and rose by 35.6% to KEUR 5,072 (previous year: KEUR 3,741) in the third quarter. The result before taxes amounted to KEUR 172 (previous year: KEUR 15) in the third quarter. As of 30 Sept 2006, the balance sheet of the NEXUS AG showed cash on hand and securities worth 17.4 million euros, against which there are no substantial financial liabilities. The equity capital rate was 84.7%. NEXUS develops and sells software and complete solutions for supporting medical and administrative processes in the healthcare system. NEXUS solutions make it possible for hospitals, rehabilitation and social institutions to structure treatments more efficiently and with a higher degree of quality. Digitalization includes not only in-house processes, but also integrated healthcare, which ensures data exchange between primary care physicians, hospitals and rehabilitation clinics.
