The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— NEXUS AG: Positive First Half Year with Substantial Improvement in Sales and Operating Result Villingen-Schwenningen, August 30, 2005: NEXUS AG, Villingen-Schwenningen, listed in Prime Standard, improved its sales to KEUR 9,873 compared to KEUR 6,313 in the previous year (+56%) and achieved a substantially better operating result before taxes of KEUR 210 compared to KEUR -521 (+KEUR 731) in the previous year. The second quarter closed with sales of KEUR 4,842 compared to KEUR 3,685 in the previous year and an operating result before taxes of KEUR -20 (previous year: -148). Sales increased significantly in the Health Care Software sector in the second quarter, rising by approximately 48% to KEUR 3,685. The EBITDA increased by KEUR 1,011 to KEUR 1,749 with respect to the half- year. The operative cash flow developed especially well and reached KEUR 3,579 (previous year: 2,738). As a result, cash reserves increased by EUR 2.86 million compared to Dec. 31st, 2004 to 19.55 million. Sales in the core business, Health Care Software, increased by 96.8% to KEUR 7,613 (previous year: KEUR 3,868). The Health Care Service Division achieved sales of KEUR 2,260 compared to KEUR 2,445 (-7.6%) and consequently was slightly weaker than in the previous year. The result after taxes improved from KEUR -724 to KEUR 100. GMT, Frankfurt is consolidated in these figures for the first time with a total of two months. NEXUS develops and sells software and hardware solutions for the administrative and medical sectors. These solutions make it possible for hospitals, rehabilitation and social institutions to convert to digital patient information. The goal of NEXUS is integrated health care, which ensures data exchange between primary care physicians, hospitals and rehabilitation clinics.
