Nexus AG: Slightly negative result in Q1 2002 Ad-hoc-announcement transmitted by DGAP. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Villingen-Schwenningen, May 29th, 2002: NEXUS AG Villingen-Schwenningen, listed on the Neuer Markt stock exchange, reports revenues of Euro 3.1 million and a result of Euro – 340 k in the first quarter of fiscal 2002. Although, compared to the first three months of 2001, sales and results improved significantly(Sales + Euro 0.6 million, result + Euro 0.9 million) the numbers of the year-before period could not be achieved. In the first quarter 2001 sales of Euro 5.6 million and a positive result of Euro 63.0 k had been reported. In Q 1 2002 revenues in its Healthcare Software core business were Euro 1.5 million(2001: Euro 2.7 million) while a result of Euro 20.0 k (2001: Euro 400 k) was achieved. The Healthcare Service division reports Euro 1.6 million in revenues (2001: Euro 2.9 million) and a loss of Euro 360 k(2001: Euro -337 k). The decline in sales of the Healthcare Software business compared to last year’s performance is mostly caused by deferments of the accounting period of the running projects and does not indicate slower growth dynamics in this business segment. The decline in sales of the Healthcare Service division is caused by the hardware business. NEXUS AG has started reducing its activities in this segment. International sales continue its positive trend, accounting for 31% of the revenues in the Healthcare Software division. NEXUS is represented internationally with installations in a total of ten countries.
