Federal Government - NEXTDC Certified Strategic

NEXTDC Limited ( ASX:NXT ) (“ NEXTDC ” or “ the Company ”) is pleased to announce that it has been certified by the Australian Federal Government’s Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) as a Certified Strategic Hosting Provider of data centre services.

This status represents the highest level of data centre certification attainable under the Government’s newly released Hosting Certification Framework. The Hosting Cortication Framework is designed to assist agencies to mitigate against supply chain and data centre ownership risks and enable them to identify and source appropriate hosting and related services.

To better serve its public sector customers, and to support the certification of its hyperscale cloud customers that supply the public sector, the Company took the decision to seek the highest level of certification for its entire national fleet of data centres (Brisbane B1 & B2, Sydney S1 & S2, Canberra C1, Melbourne M1 & M2, and Perth P1 & P2).

NEXTDC Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Craig Scroggie, commented on the certification:

“As digital transformation continues to accelerate across the public sector, protecting and securing data is a critically important priority. The risks of data breaches caused by the nefarious activities of foreign actors continues to escalate, increasing the threat landscape for infrastructure providers. We are pleased to achieve and committed to maintaining the highest level of certification under the Federal Government’s Hosting Certification Framework.”
