Notification of Transactions of Directors, persons discharging managerial

responsibility or connected persons

In accordance with DTR 3.1.2R, the Company was informed that on 31 May 2013 Andrew Varley, a Director of the Company, transferred 25,000 ordinary shares in Next plc, (being 0.2% of the issued share capital of the Company) to his wife, Mrs Melanie Varley, as a gift.

Mrs Varley is a connected person of Mr Varley for the purposes of DTR 3.1.2R.

Following the transaction, the total shares held by Mr Varley and his connected persons remains unchanged at 69,817 shares, representing 0.04% of the issued share capital of the Company.
