("NewRiver" or the "Company")

Notification of transactions by persons discharging managerial responsibilities and persons closely associated

The Company announces that awards of nil-cost options over the Company's shares were granted to Executive Directors and Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities on 22 June 2017 under the Company's Performance Share Plan 2016 as shown below. Vesting of the awards is subject to the Company's total shareholder return and total accounting return performance conditions measured over a three-year period. Once vested, the awards have to be held for a further two years before they can be exercised.
