Statement regarding Chief Executive, David Lockhart

The Board of NewRiver announces that its Chief Executive, David Lockhart, will shortly undergo an elective procedure that will require him taking a leave of absence.

During this time, the day to day executive responsibilities of the Company will be shared between Allan Lockhart, Property Director, and Mark Davies, Chief Financial Officer.

Paul Roy, Non-Executive Chairman commented: "David has taken the decision to undergo an elective procedure in order to remedy an ongoing medical issue. In David's absence, Allan and Mark will be responsible for the day to day running of the Company, supported by NewRiver's high quality and experienced management team. The Board and everyone at NewRiver wishes David a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back in the office as soon as possible."
