Item 8.01 Other Events.

On October 20, 2014, Network-1 Technologies, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) issued a Reexamination Certificate for the Company’s Remote Power Patent (U.S. Patent No. 6,218,930), rejecting a challenge to the patentability of the Remote Power Patent. A copy of the press release issued by the Company is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
