Earnings Per Share

The Calculation of earnings per share is based on the net profit for the
period attributable to shareholders of approximately Rmb2,285 million and
the weighted average number of approximately 6,011 million ordinary shares
in issue during the period.

The calculation of diluted earnings per share is based on the adjusted net
profit attributable to shareholders of Rmb2,288 million and the adjusted
weighted average number of 6,028 million ordinary shares in issue during
the period. The calculation assumes that the convertible notes had been
fully converted at the beginning of the period.
